On March 13-14, licit conducted innovation seminar for elaborating innovative municipality funding in Odesa.
The training gathered 30 participants from Municipality, NGOs, key populations, church, etc.
It aimed at developing and adapting effective mechanisms of municipal funding allocation for key population programs, especially at making city funding more sustainable through making social contracting possible for NGO service providers.
The participants learnt on: current situation of funding mechanism at the municipal and national level, challenges and gaps in the funding mechanism, funding mechanisms of Bern, income generating activities, ideal situation of sustainable mechanism of funding.
As the result, the participants drafted action plans for the income generating activities for PWID, MSM and CSW programs. The plans will be presented to the Municipality soon.
